History beckons for teams in Liege



The Indoor Hockey World Cup started in Leipzig in 2003 and is now approaching its sixth edition, to take place in Liege, Belgium in February 2022.





Eager to directly qualify for Paris Olympics by winning Asian Games, says Hardik Singh

'We are eager to begin our quest for gold at the Paris Olympics. We will have to approach step-by-step, and our first step will be to qualify directly for the Olympic Games 2024 by winning Gold at the 2022 Asian Games,' Hardik said in a Hockey India media release.



New Delhi: Eager to change the shade of the Tokyo bronze, the Indian men's hockey team is now focussing on directly qualifying for the Paris Olympics by winning next year's Asian Games, says young midfielder Hardik Singh.





Government spends crores to build first International Hockey Stadium in Kashmir

The government in Kashmir has shelled out 5 crores to build an international hockey stadium in Pulwama to encourage the sport among the youth.

Nestled in the hills of the Pir Panjal range, Kashmir's once-terrorised Pulwama district has a reason to smile once more. For hockey players and enthusiasts alike in the Kashmir valley, there are good tidings as the government in Kashmir has made its first big investment in the southern region of the state by building an astroturf hockey stadium of international standards. Shelling out Rs. 50 million for this project, the Kashmiri government seeks to encourage the spirit of hockey and generate the passion for the sport among the talented youth of Kashmir, especially those hailing from the Pulwama area.

Tanzania: Hockey Coaching Course to Benefit 28 Officials

TWENTY-eight participants are taking part in the Hockey Olympic Solidarity coaching course, which started in Tanga on September 15th this year.
